Vintage Steel Motorcycle Fuel Tank in Two-Tone Maroon and Red with Custom Decal - This vintage steel fuel tank for a motorcycle is finished in a two-tone maroon and metallic red color scheme accented with gold-tone pinstriping. The tank features a classic teardrop profile characteristic of mid-1980s cruiser-style motorcycles. The top surface displays a stylized gold script decal reading Custom (photo 4) and a rectangular black and white trilingual safety warning label. The safety label contains three sections of text: the first in English reads REMEMBER ■ PRESERVE NATURE ■ ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET ■ RIDE SAFELY ■ READ OWNER'S MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE RIDING; the second in French reads SOUVENEZ-VOUS ■ PRESERVEZ LA NATURE ■ PORTEZ TOUJOURS VOTRE CASQUE ■ CONDUIRE AVEC PRUDENCE ■ CONDUIRE EN PLEINE CONNAISSANCE DES INDICATIONS DE LA NOTICE D'EMPLOI; and the third in German reads ACHTUNG ■ SCHUETZE DEIN LEBEN ■ DENKE AN DEINE SICHERHEIT ■ SICHER FAHREN ■ VOR INBETRIEBNAHME BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG VORSICHTIG LESEN. The side panels of the tank feature recessed areas with two mounting holes each where manufacturer badges were originally attached; these badges are now missing. The underside shows a central tunnel with two forward square-tube mounts and a single rounded mounting tab at the rear. The tank is constructed from motorcycle-grade steel. The interior of the tank shows heavy corrosion and thick rust scale visible through the filler neck (photo 1). The exterior paint exhibits extensive surface scratches, scuffs, and scattered small paint chips across the top and sides (photo 2, 3, 6). The original manufacturer side badges, fuel cap, and petcock are missing (photo 3, 7). The underside and tunnel areas show surface oxidation, pitting, and significant accumulated road grime (photo 7, 8). The top safety label shows minor peeling at the edges and surface wear (photo 4).
