Vintage 40-Spoke Wire Motorcycle Rear Wheel Rim and Hub - This is a vintage wire motorcycle rear wheel assembly featuring a chrome-plated steel rim and a cast alloy hub. The wheel is constructed with 40 steel spokes. The hub is designed for a drum brake system on one side, while the reverse side features a flange with five threaded mounting bolts for a drive sprocket. A black rubber bearing seal is visible in the center, printed with the characters TAIWAN and 6204RS. No other manufacturer names, model numbers, or markings are present on the hub or rim surfaces. Overall diameter: 21 inches Rim width: 3 inches. The wheel is in weathered, used condition suitable for restoration. The rim exhibits extensive surface oxidation, pitting, and widespread peeling of the chrome plating (Photos 1 and 2). All 40 spokes show heavy surface rust and corrosion (Photos 3 and 4). The alloy hub body has accumulated grease, grime, and minor surface oxidation (Photos 3 and 4). The five sprocket mounting bolts are heavily rusted (Photo 4). The mechanical integrity, including bearing rotation and rim trueness, has not been tested.
