Drag Specialties Split Mustang Dual Cap Gas Tank Set Part Number DS-397020 - A Drag Specialties split Mustang-style dual-cap gas tank set designed for custom motorcycle builds. This Taiwanese-made set includes two individual tank halves and two white composite gas caps. The items are contained within a cardboard box that is marked on the side with the words GAS TANK in black printed characters. An adhesive label on the box features a blue and black winged logo above the text DRAG Specialties. This label provides the part number DS-3[obscured digit]7020, although the fourth character is partially obscured by a surface tear. The label also contains the text 3.3 GAL DBL CAP MUSTANG TANK and states the set was made in Taiwan. The tanks are manufactured from motorcycle material in a bare, unpainted state intended for custom finishing. The set is in New Old Stock condition but shows significant signs of age and long-term storage. Extensive patches of brown surface oxidation and flash rust are visible on the bare metal surfaces of both tank halves, as shown in images 1, 2, and 4. The original cardboard shipping box is in poor condition, showing heavy wear, significant tears, and tape repairs in images 5 and 6. The clear plastic protective liner is torn and degraded in images 1 and 2. The two included gas caps exhibit yellowing from age in images 1 and 3.
