Detachable Chrome Motorcyle Passenger Sissy Bar Backrest Upright - This is a detachable passenger backrest sissy bar upright designed for motorcyle applications. The unit is constructed using motorcyle materials and features a bright chrome-plated finish. The assembly consists of a central U-shaped bar that is welded to two integrated side plates. Each side plate is equipped with a forward-facing mounting notch and a rear-mounted black plastic quick-release latching mechanism intended for connection to vehicle docking hardware. The central bar has a stepped design, widening in the middle section to accommodate a backrest pad. I have examined all surfaces of the chrome-plated steel and the plastic hardware, and there are no readable characters, brand names, logos, or part numbers present. Consequently, a specific manufacturer cannot be identified. The item is missing the passenger backrest pad and the mounting screws required to attach a pad to the upright. Bike-side docking hardware is not included. The chrome plating remains bright and reflective but exhibits light surface scratches and swirling throughout (photo 1). Minor road grime and faint residue are visible in the recessed areas near the welds and around the latching hardware (photo 2). Both black plastic quick-release latches are intact, free of cracks, and appear to function correctly (photo 3). There is no evidence of significant pitting, rust, or oxidation on the chrome surfaces (photo 4). The item is functionally sound but incomplete as it lacks the backrest cushion.
