A Collection of Motorcycle Exhaust Pipe Components Including Vance and Hines - A collection of aftermarket exhaust header pipes and heat shields for V-twin engines, constructed from motorcycle. The collection includes a pair of components with a matte black finish. One pipe in the black set bears a riveted chrome badge in the shape of a stylized engine; the top line of text reads VANCE and the bottom line reads HINES. The collection also features a pair of header pipes with a polished chrome finish. One of the chrome pipes has small etched characters that are not legible. These staggered systems are similar in design to exhaust components for Harley-Davidson Sportster or Softail models. No manufacturer part numbers are visible on the items. The black exhaust set is in poor cosmetic condition. The upper pipe shows a large area of heavy longitudinal scraping and grinding that has removed the black finish and exposed the metal substrate (photo 3 and photo 5). One end of a black pipe is wrapped in white protective tape (photo 1). The chrome exhaust set is in fair used condition, exhibiting light surface scratches, minor clouding, and small areas of pitting (photo 2).
