Lockhart Model 500 Chrome Horizontal Mount Oil Cooler for Harley-Davidson V-Twin Engines - A motorcycle oil cooler manufactured by Lockhart Industries. This vintage performance accessory features a three-row horizontal radiator design with a chrome finish. The original retail packaging displays a large black block-letter logo reading LOCKHART at the top and an orange hexagonal badge stating THE LEADING OIL COOLER FOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON ENGINES SINCE 1972!. The front of the box features a stylized illustration of a cruiser rider and bullet points including Designed for V-Twin engines and Made in U.S.A.!. The reverse of the package provides a heritage section with a racing photograph of Gene Church, A.M.A. Battle of the Twins Champion, and a diagram identifying this unit as the Model 500 (Horizontal Mount Cooler). Technical specifications described on the box include internal oil cooling fins, wavy air fins, and brazed bond oil channel walls. A small blue adhesive inventory label reading 10082 is affixed to the bottom front edge of the box. The item is New Old Stock (NOS) and remains housed in its original retail packaging with the manufacturer's shrink wrap largely intact. The shrink wrap exhibits several tears and punctures, most notably along the bottom front edge and corners (photo 1, 4). The cardboard box shows moderate shelf wear, including corner softening, edge crushing, and light surface scuffing (photo 2, 5). The chrome oil cooler itself, visible through the display window, appears unused with a bright finish and no evidence of oxidation or bent fins (photo 1).
