1974 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra Glide Police Special Shovelhead Motorcycle - A 1974 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra Glide motorcycle featuring a Shovelhead V-twin engine. The motorcycle is finished in white paint and includes several specialized components, notably a speedometer mounted on the fuel tank console printed with the words POLICE SPECIAL in a sans-serif font below the numerical dial. The odometer displays 04181 miles. The fuel tank is decorated with a chrome V-shaped emblem featuring the name Harley-Davidson in a raised gold-tone script. The engine area includes a circular chrome air cleaner cover embossed with the Harley-Davidson Bar and Shield logo. On the primary cover, a circular chrome emblem is affixed, featuring an eagle design and the cast text LIVE TO RIDE above and RIDE TO LIVE below. The front of the motorcycle features a large chrome headlight nacelle with three lamps, each fitted with a chrome visor. The rear includes a hinged fender, a tombstone-style taillight, and black metal mounting brackets for saddlebags. The vehicle is equipped with a black leather buddy seat and a matching passenger backrest, both featuring chrome studs. The rear wheel is fitted with a disc brake, the caliper of which is marked with the Harley-Davidson Bar and Shield logo and detailed with red accents. The handlebars are chrome ape-hanger style with integrated chrome switch housings and a master cylinder. The electrical system includes a DieHard brand battery. Two keys are present: one features a relief of a vintage motorcycle, and a smaller silver-tone key is stamped with the word AXXESS. The motorcycle currently has a New York State license plate reading 38FZ61 with a 2013 registration sticker. The motorcycle is in unrestored condition we hooked a battery and everything came to life, however appears to us to need a starter.
