1973 Vintage Motorcycle Buddy Seat with Integrated Grab Rail for Harley-Davidson FL Models - A vintage motorcycle buddy seat featuring an integrated chrome-plated wrap-around grab rail. This piece is constructed using motorcycle materials, featuring a heavy-duty black-painted metal pan and black vinyl upholstery with a decorative quilted triangular pattern across the seating surface. The underside of the pan displays two forward-facing T-bar mounting brackets and several mounting holes for frame attachment. A yellow hand-stamped date code is applied to the black finish of the underside pan, which reads exactly M - 7 1973. The wrap-around rail is attached to the pan structure via four mounting points with threaded fasteners. The seat is in used condition. A visible puncture and tear, measuring approximately 1 inch in diameter, is located on the top vinyl surface near the rear edge (photo 2 and photo 3). The chrome-plated grab rail shows widespread surface oxidation, pitting, and areas of localized rust across the tubing (photo 1, photo 2, and photo 4). The black-painted metal pan on the underside exhibits significant paint loss and surface rust throughout the surface (photo 5 and photo 6). The internal foam padding shows signs of period compression consistent with age and use.
