16 Inch Spoked Dual Flange Motorcycle Rear Wheel Rim - A spoked motorcycle wheel assembly featuring a dual flange hub. The construction consists of a chrome-plated steel rim laced with black spokes to a black-painted central hub. The outer edge of the rim features an impressed mark reading 16X3.00D. Directly below this alphanumeric stamping is a small impressed circular mark containing stylized characters that are partially obscured by surface oxidation. The hub is configured with a four-bolt mounting pattern on both flanges and contains internal bearings held in place by a retaining circlip. This wheel configuration is typical for rear wheel applications on various Japanese and American cruiser-style motorcycles from the 1980s and 1990s. Outer diameter measures approximately 17.5 inches across the widest point (Photo 5). Rim width measures approximately 3.75 inches from outer lip to outer lip (Photo 6). The wheel is in used condition with significant cosmetic wear. The chrome-plated rim exhibits widespread surface rust, deep pitting, and heavy oxidation, particularly concentrated in the drop center and around the spoke nipples (Photos 6, 7). The black-finished spokes show surface oxidation, minor wear at the joints, and general road grime (Photos 1, 4). The black paint on the hub has minor scuffs and is coated in old grease residue (Photos 3, 4). While the internal bearings and circlip are present, their mechanical condition and smoothness of operation have not been verified (Photos 3, 4).
