Vintage Italian Micro Mosaic Teardrop Pendant Necklace - A vintage pendant necklace featuring a teardrop-shaped micro mosaic pendant set in a gold-tone base metal. The pendant is decorated with an array of hand-set glass tesserae in shades of white, light blue, dark blue, orange, and green, arranged in floral and geometric patterns. The setting includes a decorative beaded edge. The pendant is suspended from a fine curb-link chain that secures with a spring-ring clasp. No maker marks, hallmarks, or metal fineness stamps are visible on any part of the jewelry. The chain measures approximately 15.5 inches in total length. The pendant measures approximately 0.75 inches (19 mm) in length, including the bail, measured along its longest axis (Photo 6). The necklace is in good vintage condition. The glass micro mosaic appears to be complete with no missing or loose tiles visible (Photo 1). The gold-tone metal shows signs of surface wear, oxidation, and tarnish consistent with age, notably on the reverse of the pendant (Photo 3) and the clasp (Photo 5). The bail at the top of the pendant is slightly misshapen from use (Photo 4).
