Sterling Silver Floral Repousse Lipstick Case and Mirror - This vintage sterling silver lipstick case features elaborate repousse and chased foliate and floral scrollwork across all exterior surfaces. The rectangular form is accented by a blue cabochon thumbpiece set in a simple bezel. The side-hinged lid opens to an interior containing a rectangular mirror and a single square compartment. The top and base surfaces are finished with a four-quadrant sunburst and geometric pattern. The interior shows two small, illegible rectangular stamps on the inner rim. Material: Sterling silver. Height: 2.25 inches. Width: 0.625 inches. Depth: 0.625 inches. The item is in good vintage condition with tarnish and a natural patina throughout the exterior as shown in photo 1. The interior mirror shows visible desilvering and silvering loss around the edges (photo 6). Significant reddish-pink lipstick residue is present inside the bottom of the main compartment (photo 8). Both hinges are intact and functional.
