Vintage Zippo Windproof Pocket Lighter with Patent 2032695 - A vintage American metal windproof pocket lighter featuring a three-barrel hinge and flip-top lid. The base of the lighter body is impressed with an identification mark reading ZIPPO MFG. CO. BRADFORD, PA. on the top line, ZIPPO in a larger font in the center, and PAT. 2032695 MADE IN U.S.A. on the bottom line. Traces of red pigment remain visible in the recessed lettering of the stamp. The interior contains a metal insert with a sixteen-hole chimney, showing eight holes per side. A crude hook-shaped character is hand-scratched into the lower portion of the case on one side. The overall finish shows a dark, mottled patina across the metal surfaces. Height: 2 1/4 inches Width: 1 1/2 inches. The metal case exhibits extensive surface wear throughout, including heavy tarnish, pitting, and numerous fine scratches (photos 1, 3, and 4). A hand-scratched character is visible on one face of the body (photo 1). The three-barrel hinge shows visible oxidation and wear at the joint (photo 2). The internal chimney and wick display heavy carbonization and soot buildup consistent with significant use (photos 7 and 9). The base stamp remains legible despite surface pitting and loss of the original finish (photo 6).
