US 2007 Gold-Plated American Silver Eagle One Dollar Coin - A 2007 US American Silver Eagle one dollar coin featuring a gold-toned aftermarket finish. The coin is struck in 1 ounce of .999 fine silver and has been modified with a gold-plated layer. The obverse features the Walking Liberty design with the legend LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date 2007. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield, carrying the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule and presented in a blue velvet-lined display box. No third-party manufacturer marks or labels are present on the coin or the packaging to identify the specific firm responsible for the plating. The coin exhibits a brilliant and reflective gold-plated surface (photos 1 and 2). The protective plastic capsule is heavily scuffed and scratched across both faces, which obscures the visual clarity of the coin (photos 1 and 2). The presentation case is in poor condition; the interior satin lining is partially detached, and the metal hinges show significant oxidation and rust (photo 3). The velvet lining and exterior of the box show heavy wear and deterioration (photo 3).
