A United States Commemorative Gallery Mercury Dime Collection - This presentation from the United States Commemorative Gallery consists of five US Mercury Dimes, also known as Winged Liberty Head dimes, composed of 90% silver. The coins are mounted on a cream-colored card featuring a semi-circular display of the obverses. Visible dates include 1919, 1929, 1934, and 1945. The collection is housed in a black pebble-textured leatherette folder featuring gold-printed text on the front reading UNITED STATES COMMEMORATIVE GALLERY below a gold-printed eagle emblem. The interior features a printed reproduction of the 1886 fine art print Liberty Unveiled by Edward Moran. Printed labels on the interior card include Mercury Dime Collection, Made of 90% Silver, and OFFICIAL LEGAL TENDER OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. A paragraph of descriptive text is printed at the bottom of the card. The front cover displays the name UNITED STATES COMMEMORATIVE GALLERY in gold-printed capitals. Height: 9.5 inches. The coins are in circulated condition with visible wear to the design elements as shown in photos 1 and 2. Toning and surface marks are present on each coin. The leatherette folder displays a rectangular patch of surface loss or adhesive residue on the front cover below the gold lettering (photo 3). The interior card shows minor age-related toning (photo 1).
