Vintage Sterling Silver Pansy Flower Brooch - A sterling silver brooch modeled as a pansy blossom with five petals. Each petal features a hand-hammered radial texture, and the center is finished with a raised dome. The petals are joined at the center, creating a layered three-dimensional form. The reverse is equipped with a horizontal pin stem and a rotating safety catch. The back of the petals features several impressed stamps, including a monogram with a stylized S over the letters N and C (photo 4), and the word STERLING stamped below (photo 4). Another petal is stamped with the text PATENT NO. 2215120 (photo 5). Dimensions: Diameter approximately 1.75 inches Weight: 0.288 troy ounces (ozt). The brooch exhibits moderate to heavy tarnish and oxidation across the front and back surfaces (photos 1-3). There are no visible cracks, chips, or repairs to the silver petals. The pin mechanism and safety clasp are intact and in working order.
