2001 Liberia 25 Dollars Mount Rushmore 24 Karat .999 Pure Gold Proof Coin and American Mint COA - A 2001 Republic of Liberia 25 Dollars gold proof coin struck in .999 fine gold. The coin is part of the World's smallest gold coins collection presented by American Mint. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of Liberia and inscriptions reading REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA and the split date 20 01. The reverse is struck with a Mount Rushmore design and inscribed MOUNT RUSHMORE and 25 DOLLARS. The piece is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule and is accompanied by a paper Certificate of Authenticity from American Mint. The certificate is hand-numbered 01010 and lists technical specifications including a limitation of 20,000 pieces, a metal fineness of .999 gold, a weight of 0.731g, and a diameter of 11mm. The coin is in proof condition with mirror-like fields and no visible surface marks, wear, or toning (photos 2 and 3). The strike is sharp on all lettering and devices. The protective capsule remains intact with no significant scratching. The paper certificate shows light age-related yellowing and minor creasing along the edges (photo 4).
