Bidspirit auction | A Navajo Lot of Sterling
A Navajo Lot of Sterling Silver and Turquoise Jewelry Comprising a Multi-Strand Necklace and a Floral Motif Ring - This Navajo lot includes a multi-strand necklace and a statement ring, both crafted from sterling silver with turquoise embellishments. The necklace is constructed with five strands of fine tubular liquid silver beads, punctuated by small turquoise block beads and spherical silver spacers. The strands are finished with conical silver terminations featuring stamped sunburst motifs and are secured with a hook-and-eye clasp. The ring features a central round cabochon-cut turquoise stone held in a serrated bezel. The stone is surrounded by a twisted wire rope border and a scalloped floral frame accented with small silver spheres. The setting is mounted on a split-shank band. An impressed mark on the interior of the ring band reads STERLING followed by a copyright symbol. A second impressed mark is located beside it, consisting of a square frame containing a stylized character resembling a T and an I. Necklace length: Approximately 18 inches Ring size: US 6.5. Both pieces exhibit significant dark tarnish throughout the silver surfaces, notably in the recessed areas of the floral ring frame (photo 3) and along the length of the necklace strands (photo 2). The necklace strands show minor kinks and some tangling (photo 7). The turquoise stones appear secure and free of visible cracks.
