Three US 90% Silver Franklin Half Dollars, 1952-S, 1954, and 1961-D - A group of three United States Franklin Half Dollars composed of 90% silver. Each coin features the obverse portrait of Benjamin Franklin with the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse displays the Liberty Bell with a small heraldic eagle, surrounded by the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and HALF DOLLAR. The collection includes a 1952-S struck at the San Francisco mint, a 1954 struck at the Philadelphia mint, and a 1961-D struck at the Denver mint. The coins are presented in heat-sealed plastic retail pouches from the Littleton Coin Co. One pouch bears a printed black label reading 1954 Fine Franklin Half Dollar and LITTLETON COIN CO. LITTLETON N.H. 03561. The other two pouches are labeled 1952-S Very Fine Franklin Half Dollar and 1961-D Very Fine Franklin Half Dollar respectively. The text PRICED ACCORDING TO CONDITION and additional inventory numbers 101.12 and 1055.20 are also printed on the plastic. All three coins are in circulated condition. The 1954 specimen (photos 1, 5) shows moderate wear on the portrait and bell lines, matching the assigned retail grade of Fine. The 1952-S (photos 1, 3) and 1961-D (photos 1, 4) show less wear on the hair and bell details, consistent with the assigned grades of Very Fine. The coins exhibit typical silver toning and minor surface marks common for circulated coinage. No significant edge damage or environmental corrosion is visible.
