A Pair of Egyptian Revival Yellow Metal Fly Earrings - A matched pair of drop earrings designed in the form of a stylized fly, inspired by the Ancient Egyptian Order of the Golden Fly. Each earring is crafted from yellow-toned metal and features two wide, flat wings and a textured head section with two protruding globular eyes. The reverse of each earring bears an incised mark consisting of a stylized eye with a curved line above, an almond-shaped center with a circular pupil, a horizontal line extending from the outer corner, and a vertical line with a secondary diagonal flourish descending from the bottom edge. This mark is not a legible name or wordmark. The earrings are suspended from integral wire ear hooks. Each earring measures approximately 1 1/8 inches in total length. Total weight: 0.183 ozt. The earrings are in good vintage condition. Light surface scratches and localized areas of oxidation are present on the front and back of both earrings (photos 3, 5, and 6). The integral wire hooks remain functional, exhibiting minor variations in their curvature (photo 3).
