Anson Sterling Silver Modernist Pendant Necklace with Genuine Diamond - A vintage sterling silver pendant necklace in the Modernist style by Anson. The pendant features an abstract, elongated vertical form with a heavily textured Brutalist finish resembling molten or dripping metal. Centrally set within the design is a diamond-shaped gold-toned plaque housing a single small round-cut genuine diamond. The pendant is suspended from a fine sterling silver curb link chain. The necklace fastens with a spring ring clasp. Hallmarks include an impressed rectangular cartouche on the reverse of the pendant reading ANSON above STERLING. The chain's clasp tag is stamped with the name ANSON. The piece is accompanied by its original pink velvet-covered presentation box. The interior lid of the box is lined with cream satin and printed in red with a starburst emblem next to the maker's name Anson in stylized script, above the words GENUINE DIAMOND. Chain length: approx. 16 inches Pendant length: approx. 1.5 inches. The sterling silver pendant and chain show moderate overall tarnish and light surface wear consistent with age (Photos 3, 5, 7). A small deposit of green verdigris oxidation is present on the lower front left edge of the pendant (Photo 3). The spring ring clasp is functional. The original presentation box exhibits significant exterior condition issues, including heavy brown staining, water marks, and wear to the pink velvet pile across all surfaces (Photos 8, 9, 10, 11, 12). The interior of the box is in better condition with only minor age-related discolouration (Photo 1).
