1884-O US Morgan Silver Dollar - A US Morgan silver dollar minted in 1884. The coin is struck in 90% silver and 10% copper. An impressed O mint mark is located on the reverse, positioned above the DO in DOLLAR, identifying it as a product of the New Orleans Mint. The obverse is inscribed with the date 1884 and the legend E PLURIBUS UNUM. The reverse features the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and the motto In God we trust in Gothic script. The coin has a reeded edge. Weight: 0.859 troy ounces. The coin shows moderate wear consistent with circulation, particularly on the high points of the hair above the ear (photo 1) and the eagle breast feathers (photo 3). Numerous small contact marks and fine scratches are visible in the fields on both sides (photos 1, 3). Significant dark toning is present across both faces, with heavier concentration near the rims (photos 1, 3). The reeded edge displays minor surface marks (photo 2).
