The reverse depicts an eagle in flight clutching an olive branch, surrounded by thirteen stars and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HISTORY. An impressed square hallmark is located in the field to the left of the eagle's tail feathers, containing two stylized characters, the first appearing as a cursive letter G; the characters are not legible as a specific manufacturer name. Diameter: 1.5 inches (38 mm) measured across the widest point. Proof-like finish with mirrored fields and frosted devices. Significant yellow and amber toning is present along the outer edge of the obverse (photo 1). Multiple fine surface hairlines are visible in the mirrored fields on both the obverse and reverse (photos 1, 3). The round is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule with light surface scratches.
