A Trio of Vintage Sterling Silver Brooches Including Horse and Bird Motifs - This lot consists of three vintage sterling silver brooches with various decorative and figurative themes. The first brooch depicts a mare and foal in mid-gallop with textured finishes. The reverse is impressed with two lines of text: the first reads BEAU and the second reads STERLING. The second item is a ribbon bow brooch set with clear, round-cut faceted rhinestones. The back of one ribbon tail is impressed with the characters STERL followed by a small, illegible symbol. This piece features small wire loops at the terminus of each ribbon tail, which are currently empty. The third brooch represents a long-legged water bird, such as a crane or stork, shown in flight with outstretched wings and textured feathering. No hallmarks are visible on the bird brooch, though it is consistent in appearance with the sterling pieces. All three pieces are constructed from sterling silver and feature standard pin stems with rolling safety clasps. Bird brooch: 2.75 inches long Bow brooch: 1.75 inches wide Horse brooch: 1.75 inches wide Total weight: 0.327 ozt. The horse brooch is in good vintage condition with light surface tarnish visible on the reverse (photo 2). The bird brooch shows minor surface wear and light tarnish consistent with age (photo 6). The bow brooch exhibits significant damage, including at least four missing rhinestones from the settings (photo 5) and the loss of what appears to have been suspended dangles or drops from the wire loops at the bottom of the ribbon tails (photo 4, 7). General tarnish is present across all pieces.
