1921 US Morgan Silver Dollar - A 1921 US Morgan silver dollar minted in Philadelphia, as indicated by the absence of a mint mark on the reverse. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of fine silver. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with the inscription L I B E R T Y on the headband, surrounded by the Latin motto E · P L U R I B U S · U N U M, thirteen stars, and the date 1 9 2 1. The reverse shows a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings clutching an olive branch and arrows within a partial wreath, surrounded by the inscriptions U N I T E D S T A T E S O F A M E R I C A, the motto I n G o d w e t r u s t in Gothic script, and the denomination O N E D O L L A R. The specimen has a reeded edge and is housed in a generic white cardboard 2x2 flip holder with a clear plastic window. A handwritten inscription in blue ink on the flip reads 1921. The coin is in uncirculated condition, exhibiting sharp design details in Liberty's hair and the eagle's breast feathers (Photos 1, 2). Original mint luster is present beneath prominent peripheral golden-brown to dark toning on both the obverse and reverse faces (Photos 1, 2, 3). Minor surface bag marks and contact nicks are visible on the obverse fields and Liberty's cheek (Photos 1, 3). There are no visible signs of circulation wear or harsh cleaning.
