US 1900-O Morgan Silver Dollar - A US Morgan silver dollar minted in 1900 at the New Orleans Mint. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver. The obverse features a profile portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with the word LIBERTY inscribed on the headband, flanked by the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and thirteen stars, with the date 1900 at the base. The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle clutching an olive branch and arrows within a wreath, inscribed UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR, with the motto In God we trust positioned above the eagle. The mint mark O is struck below the wreath. The coin is housed in a white cardboard 2x2 flip holder. The holder bears blue ink handwritten notations reading 1900-O on the obverse side and an alphanumeric code reading QUKKCQ on the reverse side. The coin is in circulated condition. Moderate wear is visible on the high points of the design, specifically on Liberty's hair above the ear and the eagle's breast feathers (Photos 2 and 3). The fields on both the obverse and reverse exhibit numerous small contact marks and light surface scratches (Photos 2 and 3). Light golden-brown toning is present around the periphery and within the recessed areas of the design (Photos 2 and 3). No professional third-party grade is provided.
