Sterling Silver and Tricolor Gold Dendritic Agate Brooch - An oval sterling silver brooch featuring a central dendritic agate cabochon set within an openwork frame. The frame is embellished with four clusters of three leaves each, positioned at the top, bottom, and sides. These leaves feature a textured finish and are composed of rose and yellow gold alloys. The central polished dendritic agate stone displays natural black branching inclusions of manganese oxide within a translucent white to gray chalcedony matrix. The reverse of the silver frame is stamped with the impressed characters STERLING LSR. The brooch is equipped with a horizontal pin stem and a revolving safety clasp. Width: 1 1/4 inches (32 mm). The brooch is in good vintage condition. The sterling silver frame shows surface tarnish, particularly visible in the openwork gaps and on the reverse (Photo 5). The dendritic agate cabochon is secure in its bezel and free of visible chips or cracks. The tricolor gold leaf accents are intact. The pin mechanism is fully functional.
