Pair of Von Musulin Sterling Silver Gilt Modernist Clip-on Earrings - A matched pair of large, modernist clip-on earrings by Von Musulin. Each earring features a sculptural, architectural form with a prominent central ridge flanked by bulbous, polished sections. The earrings are constructed of gold-toned metal over silver. The back of one earring bears an impressed mark in two lines reading STERLING and VON MUSULIN. The second earring is impressed with the word STERLING. These are hybrid backs featuring an omega-style hinged clip and a post for pierced ears. Each earring measures approximately 1.25 inches in height and weighs a combined total of 1.621 troy ounces. The earrings are in good vintage condition. There is pervasive surface scratching, micro-scuffing, and minor pitting to the gold-toned surfaces throughout. Some thinning and wear of the gold plating are visible, particularly on the raised central ridges and edges, exposing the silver base metal beneath. No structural damage or alterations are observed.
