US 1891-O Morgan Silver Dollar - A US silver dollar of the Morgan design, struck in 90 percent silver. The obverse is struck with a profile of Liberty facing left, with the word LIBERTY readable on her headband. The legend E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date 1891 are struck along the outer rim. The reverse is struck with a bald eagle and legends including UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, In God we trust, and ONE DOLLAR. An impressed capital letter O is struck on the reverse above the letters DO in DOLLAR. Weight: 0.859 ozt. The coin shows moderate wear on the high points of the design, including Liberty hair details (photo 1) and the eagle breast feathers (photo 2). Numerous contact marks and small scratches are present in the fields on both sides (photos 1, 3). Dark toning and residue are visible in the recessed areas of the stars and lettering (photo 3). There are no visible rim nicks or significant edge damage.
