Two Pairs of Stud Earrings Including 14K Gold and Sterling Silver with Turquoise - This lot features two pairs of vintage stud earrings. The first pair is crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, featuring a domed circular form with a textured bark-like finish. The reverse of each earring displays an impressed mark reading 14K. The second pair consists of square-cut turquoise cabochons set in sterling silver bezel mounts. The turquoise stones are a vibrant blue color with minimal matrix. Both pairs utilize post backings. One sterling silver butterfly backing is included. Across the widest point, the circular gold studs measure approximately 3/8 inch in diameter. The square turquoise studs measure approximately 1/4 inch square. Total Weight: 0.081 ozt. The 14 karat gold earrings show minor surface wear consistent with age. One gold stud features a significant ring of red-orange residue on the reverse, likely old adhesive or jewelry wax (photo 5). The sterling silver settings for the turquoise earrings exhibit heavy dark tarnish and oxidation throughout (photo 2). The gemstones appear secure in their settings with no visible chips or cracks.
