Leonore Doskow Sterling Silver Magnetic Clip, 1965 - A mid-century modern magnetic sterling clip featuring a minimalist, circular form. The piece is constructed with a domed outer ring surrounding a recessed central circular element, featuring a matte, brushed finish on the front surface. The reverse side is fitted with a horizontal bar that supports a pin-back and a rotating safety clasp. An impressed mark on the back consists of a copyright symbol followed by the date 1965 and the word STERLING. The maker name LEONORE DOSKOW, INC is impressed directly below in uppercase characters. Diameter: 1 inch Weight: 0.296 ozt. The clip exhibits heavy, uneven dark tarnish and oxidation across the front and back surfaces (Photos 1, 2, 4). A prominent vertical scratch is visible on the central recessed element, and numerous fine surface scratches are present across the domed front face (Photo 1). The pin-back and rotating safety clasp are intact and in functional condition (Photo 2).
