CH 1945 B 1 Franc Silver Coin - A 1945 silver 1 Franc coin from Switzerland, cataloged as KM# 24. The obverse displays the Standing Helvetia design type encircled by twenty-two stars. An impressed mark at the base reads HELVETIA and the mark A. BOVY is located at the lower left. The reverse features a centered 1 Fr. denomination and 1945 date within a tied wreath of oak leaves and alpine flowers. A block letter B mint mark for the Bern mint is located at the bottom center. The coin is struck in .835 fineness silver. The coin is in circulated condition with moderate wear to the high points of the design, specifically Helvetia's gown (photo 1) and the reverse floral wreath (photo 2). Dark toning is present in the recessed areas on both the obverse and reverse. Multiple hairline scratches and minor contact marks are visible across the fields (photos 1 and 2).
