A Pair of Duchin Creation Sterling Silver Weighted Candlesticks - A pair of mid-20th-century sterling weighted silver candlesticks in a traditional baluster form. Each piece features a flared rim above a tapering cup, a multi-ringed stem, and a circular stepped, weighted base. The underside of each base is impressed with marks consisting of the word STERLING in a curved orientation at the top, a central logo depicting a stylized bird in profile facing left, the stacked words DUCHIN CREATION to the right of the logo, and the word WEIGHTED in a curved orientation at the bottom. As indicated by the stamps and construction, the material is sterling silver over a weighted interior core. Height: Approximately 3.5 inches Base Diameter: Approximately 2.75 inches. Both candlesticks exhibit extensive surface oxidation and dark tarnishing throughout (all photos). There are scattered fine surface scratches and light wear consistent with age and use. Small surface dings and minor indentations are visible around the rims and the outer edges of the weighted bases (photos 1, 3, and 4). The weighted bases appear intact without signs of leaking or cracking in the internal filler.
