US 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar - A US 1921 Morgan silver dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features the Morgan head design with the date 1921 and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The headband is inscribed with the word LIBERTY. The reverse features the Morgan eagle design with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR, and the motto In God we trust in Gothic script. The edge is reeded. There is no mint mark present on the reverse, indicating Philadelphia Mint production. Weight: 0.862 ozt. The coin is in circulated condition with significant surface abrasions, bag marks, and contact marks visible on both faces. Deep scratches are present on the cheek of the Liberty profile on the obverse (photo 1) and on the breast of the eagle on the reverse (photo 2). Dark toning and accumulated grime are visible within the recessed areas of the design and lettering on the obverse and reverse (photos 1 and 2).
