Vintage Christian Dior Gold Tone Ribbed Powder Compact with Original Box and Pouch - A Swiss gold-tone metal powder compact of rectangular form featuring a horizontally ribbed exterior texture. The hinged lid opens to reveal a beveled glass mirror. The interior contains a hinged secondary lid for loose powder, adorned with a central raised gold-tone oval cartouche topped with a bow. The cartouche contains the raised characters Christian Dior and PARIS. Below the cartouche, the metal is impressed with the text Made in Switzerland. This interior compartment is fitted with a removable mesh sifter featuring a pink fabric border. The compact is accompanied by a cream satin branded storage pouch with Christian Dior printed in gold and an original textured cream presentation box. The box lid bears an adhesive rectangular label reading Christian Dior within an octagonal frame. The interior lid of the box is lined in cream satin and features a gold-printed Christian Dior mark within a rectangular border. The metal compact shows minor surface scratches and light wear to the gold-tone finish (Photos 4, 5, and 7). The interior mirror and powder compartment show no visible faults other than light surface dust (Photos 2 and 5). The satin drawstring pouch shows yellowing and brown staining throughout the fabric (Photos 1 and 8). The presentation box exhibits significant water staining and foxing to the exterior cardboard surfaces (Photo 6) and staining to the interior satin lining (Photos 1 and 8). There is a small area of adhesive residue on the right side of the box lid (Photo 6).
