A Set of 38 US Franklin Mint Sterling Silver Presidential Mini-Coin Medals - A collection of United States Presidential commemorative medals produced by The Franklin Mint of Yeadon, Pennsylvania. The set is identified on the interior of the lid by gold-stamped lettering as the Presidential Mini-Coin Set, First Edition Sterling Silver. Each medal is struck in sterling silver with a fineness of .925. The obverse of each medal features a relief portrait of a US President with inscriptions of their name and years in office. The collection includes thirty-six medals housed in two white cardboard folders, mint-sealed in clear plastic bubbles, representing presidents from George Washington through Richard M. Nixon. Two additional medals are included in separate clear plastic flips, labeled GERALD R. FORD 38th President of the United States and JIMMY CARTER 39th President of the United States. The medals are presented in an original black case with a blue velvet-lined display tray. The set includes a black plastic magnifying glass, a certificate of inspection with a blue circular mark reading 2, and a printed Important instructional sheet from the mint. Diameter: 13mm. The medals remain in their original mint-sealed clear plastic bubbles (photos 2, 3, 4). The silver surfaces exhibit high luster with instances of minor natural silver toning, notably visible on the Abraham Lincoln medal (photo 2). The cardboard folders, presentation case, and blue velvet lining show no significant signs of wear or damage (photo 1). The included magnifier and printed documentation appear well-preserved.
