Neoclassical Revival Cast Iron and Nickel Plated Table Lamp - A neoclassical revival table lamp featuring a heavy cast iron openwork shade with nickel plated accents. The octagonal shade is constructed of panels depicting classical female figures in relief; one figure is shown holding a patera and pitcher, while another holds an urn with flowers. These figures alternate with decorative panels featuring floral swags, tassels, and scrolling acanthus leaves. The shade is secured by a central pole and topped with a wing-nut finial. The lamp stands on a quatrefoil-shaped base featuring a textured leather-inset surface and a beaded metal rim. The lighting hardware consists of a two-socket cluster with pull chains and an older vintage power cord. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the shade, base, or electrical components. Total height: 18.5 inches to the top of the finial. The cast iron surfaces show an aged patina with widespread green verdigris oxidation, particularly visible on the figural reliefs (Photo 2, 4, 5). There is a visible break and loss to the scrolling openwork design at the bottom edge of one shade panel (Photo 1). The leather base insert exhibits significant wear, surface cracking, and scuffing throughout, and contains four small holes where hardware may have previously been attached (Photo 7). The electrical wiring is of an older vintage and the functionality has not been tested.
