Arts and Crafts Cast Bronze Four-Light Table Lamp Base with Foliate Feet - An Arts and Crafts period table lamp base manufactured from cast bronze with a multi-tone green and brown patina. The design features a fluted, tapering central shaft supported by a wide, four-lobed base, where each lobe terminates in a stylized foliate foot. The shaft flares into a four-sided knop before meeting a four-light socket cluster. The cluster holds four angled metal-shell sockets, each equipped with a ball-end pull chain and terminating in a square-profile threaded finial mount. One metal socket shell is stamped with a circular logo containing the letters G and E, along with 250V and 250W (photo 5). The cast metal cluster head is impressed with PAT on one side of a casting seam and APLD FOR on the opposite side (photo 8). The underside of the base is fitted with a circular, perforated metal plate secured by a central screw (photo 7). The wiring is vintage in appearance. Height: Approximately 22.5 inches (measured to the top of the finial mount as shown against the ruler in photo 6). The bronze base is in good structural condition with no visible cracks or repairs to the metalwork. The patina shows age-appropriate surface wear, including minor scuffing and small areas of green verdigris oxidation, notably around the lower lobes and feet (photo 1 and photo 2). The socket shells exhibit surface dust and darkening (photo 5). The perforated metal base plate on the underside displays surface oxidation and rust (photo 7). The electrical cord shows age-related wear and should be replaced for safety (photo 1). The lamp is missing a shade and finial cap.
