A Set of Six Miniature Hand-Painted Biscuit Porcelain Erotic Figural Groups in Boxes - A set of six hand-painted miniature erotic figurines modeled in the Japanese shunga style, traditionally known as pillow dolls. Each piece is constructed from biscuit porcelain with a matte finish and polychrome hand-painted details. The collection comprises six distinct pairs of male and female figures depicted in explicit sexual positions. Cultural details include traditional Japanese hairstyles, such as the male chonmage and elaborate female updos, alongside detailed anatomical renderings characteristic of the genre. Each figurine is accompanied by an individual presentation box made of tan cardboard with a vertically ribbed exterior texture and brown paper interior lining. There are no maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps visible on the figurines or the packaging. Length: Approximately 1.5 to 2.5 inches. The collection exhibits signs of age and handling consistent with mid-20th-century production. One figurine, depicting a woman seated atop a man, has a significant break to the right leg that has been repaired with a thick application of yellowed adhesive (photo 8, 9). Another figurine shows a fracture at the leg joint (photo 10). Minor surface dust and localized pigment wear are visible across the set (photo 2). Regarding the packaging, one box lid is significantly crushed and partially torn at the corners (photo 3), while the other boxes show light shelf wear, softening at the corners, and minor staining (photo 2).
