Steuben Aurene Iridescent Art Glass Salt Cellar - A small, hand-blown iridescent art glass bowl, serving as a salt cellar. The piece features a squat, bulbous form that tapers to a ten-point pinched or scalloped rim. The glass exhibits a multi-tonal iridescent luster; the interior shows vibrant shifting tones of magenta and violet, while the exterior displays a golden-green to bronze-hued iridescence. The base is finished with a ground and polished circular pontil. Around the perimeter of the pontil are faint, hand-incised markings following the circular curve of the base. These markings consist of script characters and digits that are not clearly legible as a name or model number. Across the widest point of the rim, the bowl measures approximately 2.75 inches in diameter. The item is in good overall condition. Minor shelf wear and light scratching are visible on the base consistent with age (photo 2). A few small, dark pinpoint inclusions or surface specks are present within the glass, primarily located near the base (photo 2). The iridescent surface finish is well-preserved with high luster and no significant losses, chips, or cracks.
