Ithaca No. 4 Office Calendar Wall Clock with Skeletonized Dial - This is a double-dial perpetual calendar wall clock manufactured by the Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. of Ithaca, New York, identified as the No. 4 Office model. The clock features a wood case with a dark-stained finish and an eight-day mechanical time and strike movement. The upper dial is composed of cream-colored paper over metal with Roman numeral hour markers and ornate black hands; its center is skeletonized to reveal the internal brass gears and escapement. The lower perpetual calendar dial includes an outer ring numbered 1 through 31 and two rectangular apertures for the day and month. The calendar dial is marked H. B. HORTON'S PATENTS. April 18, 1865, and August 28, 1866. ITHACA CALENDAR CLOCK CO. ITHACA, N. Y. and features a stylized ICCo monogram. The interior of the case door retains a partial original paper instruction label. This clock requires a second hand and a pendulum for complete operation. Height: 28.5 inches. The wooden case exhibits age-appropriate wear including surface scratches, minor nicks, and rubbing to the finish. A prominent horizontal split is visible across the center of the interior wooden door, which also cleaves the paper label. Both dials show moderate yellowing, foxing, and surface staining consistent with age, with visible fine crazing on the lower dial. The movement is untested for timekeeping accuracy. The clock is missing its second hand and pendulum.
