Steuben Calcite and Gold Aurene Art Glass Lamp Shade - A bell-shaped art glass lamp shade produced by Steuben Glass Works in the early 20th century. The shade is crafted from blown glass featuring a Calcite exterior—a creamy, translucent white glass with a soft, pearlescent iridescence. The interior is finished in Gold Aurene, a reflective metallic gold iridescence displaying pink and green undertones. The shade is designed with a flared lower rim and a standard ground fitter rim at the top. No maker's marks or signatures are present. Small orange-brown spots and faint residue are visible on the ground top rim, consistent with oxidation from contact with a metal fixture. Height: 5 1/8 inches Fitter size: 2 1/4 inches. The shade is in good antique condition. There is minor roughness and small flea bite chips along the ground fitter rim, which is typical for shades that have been mounted in metal fixtures. The glass body shows very minor surface scuffs and light shelf wear to the base rim consistent with age and use. The iridescent finish remains vibrant on both the interior and exterior surfaces.
