Rare Steuben Art Glass Luminor Illuminated Sculpture - This rare Steuben Art Glass Luminor is an illuminated sculpture composed of a clear glass egg shaped obelisk and a black glass base. The clear glass component utilizes the bullicante technique, characterized by a structured grid of uniform air bubbles throughout the body, with a large central teardrop shaped bubble at the bottom. The piece is designed to be lit from below via a black glass pedestal base housing a metal mounting plate for a small incandescent bulb. A bi color red and blue glass filter is fitted to the underside of the clear glass element, which creates a red to blue color gradient through the bubbles when illuminated. The internal electrical components include a vintage cord and a metal light socket plate. Total Height: approximately 9 inches Base: approximately 2 inches x 2 inches. The glass egg is in excellent condition. The black glass base is damaged and glued, featuring visible cracks and a large chip on one corner. The metal light plate shows significant oxidation and surface wear. The vintage wiring has been repaired with electrical tape and should be inspected by a qualified professional before use.
