A Set of Six Vintage Halloween Square Paper Plates with Black Cat and Haunted House Motifs - A set of six square paperboard plates designed for Halloween seasonal use, dating from the mid-20th century. The plates feature a lithographed central illustration of two black cats with arched backs facing one another on a wooden fence against the backdrop of a large yellow moon and a stylized haunted house. A wide orange border surrounds the central image, decorated with a repeating pattern of various jack-o'-lantern faces, arched-back black cats, and bats. The colors are primarily orange, black, yellow, and green. The plates are constructed from pressed paperboard with a crimped rim, and the reverse side is the natural, unfinished light brown color of the material. There are no manufacturer names, trademarks, or copyright marks visible on either side of the plates. Width: 5.5 inches. The plates are in good vintage condition. A vertical crease is visible on the upper rim of one plate (photo 1). There is light edge wear and minor fraying at the corners throughout the set (photo 3). Minor curling at the corners and light surface impressions are present (photo 5). The lithographed colors remain vibrant and well-preserved.
