William Fuld Ouija Mystifying Oracle Talking Board Set by Parker Brothers Inc. - A vintage William Fuld Ouija Mystifying Oracle talking board set manufactured in Salem, Massachusetts, USA. The set consists of a lithographed board and a matching planchette, housed within its original illustrated retail box. The board features a faux wood-grain pattern and is printed with the alphabet, numbers 0 through 9, and the words YES, NO, and GOOD BYE. It is further decorated with celestial motifs, including a sun and a crescent moon, and two illustrations of figures seated at a table during a séance. The lower edge of the board is printed with the text: OUIJA, WILLIAM FULD, MYSTIFYING ORACLE AND THE DISTINCTIVE DESIGN OF THE PACKAGE ARE TRADEMARKS FOR THE TALKING BOARD SETS OF PARKER BROTHERS INC., SALEM, MASS. U.S.A. Included is a cream-colored plastic heart-shaped planchette, embossed with the text OUIJA TRADEMARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. and WILLIAM FULD MESSAGE INDICATOR PARKER BROTHERS Inc. SALEM, MASS., U.S.A. The planchette is equipped with three legs, two of which are tipped with blue felt pads, and features a clear circular viewing window with a central metal pin. The original cardboard box displays a blue shrouded, hooded figure set against a black, star-studded background. The box lid is printed with the names WILLIAM FULD and PARKER BROTHERS, INC. - SALEM, MASS., U.S.A. and the product names OUIJA and Mystifying Oracle. The back of the box provides instructions for use and features a graphic of two figures using the board. A cardboard insert is present inside the box to hold the components. The set is in good vintage condition. The box lid exhibits some edge wear, minor creasing, and surface abrasions consistent with age and handling. One side of the lid shows a small tear. The board shows slight surface wear but remains well-preserved with clear graphics. The planchette is intact with all three legs present; one felt pad is missing from a rear leg. The viewing window is clear and secure. The interior cardboard insert shows some discoloration and minor tearing around the planchette cutout. No other visible faults are noted.
