A Collection of Antique Cast Iron Animal-Drawn Toys and a Hall's Excelsior Mechanical Bank - This collection features an assortment of antique cast iron items, including one mechanical bank and multiple animal-drawn toy vehicles. The mechanical bank is identified by the embossed lettering on the front facade as Hall's Excelsior Bank. This model was manufactured by the J. & E. Stevens Co. of Cromwell, Connecticut, and designed by John Hall. The bank features a pull-string mechanism housed in a multi-color cast iron building with an ochre body, a red-painted dome, and black trim. The top cupola opens to reveal a small cashier figure seated at a desk. The base of the bank is constructed with a perforated circular pattern. The collection includes a large horse-drawn stake wagon resembling the work of Hubley or Kenton Hardware. It depicts a single black-painted horse in a galloping pose pulling a black wagon with a perforated floor and four red-painted spoked wheels. Also included is an animal-drawn sulky featuring a single goat figure pulling a two-wheeled carriage with a red-painted seat and yellow spoked wheels. The final piece is a miniature dump cart pulled by a single horse, characterized by heavy surface oxidation and a dark brown patina. All items are constructed of heavy-gauge cast iron with integrated harnesses and rolling wheels. The items are in aged condition, exhibiting significant paint loss, chipping, and wear consistent with their age. The Hall's Excelsior Bank retains a portion of its original paint, with heavy thinning on the red dome and some surface oxidation on the perforated base; the interior cashier figure is present. The large horse-drawn wagon shows widespread paint loss and chipping across the horse and wagon frame. The goat sulky retains remnants of red and yellow paint but displays significant wear and accumulated dust. The miniature horse-drawn cart is heavily oxidized with a dark rust patina and very little original finish remaining. The rolling mechanisms on the wheels appear functional.
