Persian Silver Small Goblet and Saucer Set, Isfahan Ghalam-zani Style, .875 Fine - This set consists of a small silver goblet and a matching saucer, decorated in the traditional Ghalam-zani hand-chased and engraved style typical of Isfahan, Iran. The exterior surfaces of both pieces are covered in dense and intricate floral scrolls, arabesques, and geometric motifs. The goblet features a flared rim, a short stem, and a stepped circular foot. The saucer is circular with a recessed center and a slightly raised, unadorned rim. The base of the saucer bears several struck hallmarks: a rectangular punch containing the number 84 next to a profile head, representing the 84 zolotnik standard for .875 silver fineness. An oblong punch below the fineness mark contains Persian script, which identifies the silversmith, though the specific name is not clearly legible.
