Late 19th Century American Western Style Steer Horn Tripod Footstool - A rustic tripod footstool featuring three natural curved steer horn legs. The legs are secured to a circular solid wood seat base with metal tacks. The seat is upholstered in an orange-rust colored velvet or mohair plush fabric and is finished with a coordinating decorative textile fringe around the perimeter. This piece is characteristic of Victorian era lodge furniture and Western American decor. No maker marks are visible on the object. Height: 8.5 inches Seat Diameter: 10 inches. Fair to good condition. The upholstery exhibits significant wear including areas of pile loss, staining, and overall fading. The decorative fringe is frayed and detached in multiple locations.
