Mexico 1782 Silver 8 Reales Coin - A Spanish Colonial silver 8 Reales coin produced at the Mexico City mint. Per provided facts, the material composition of the item is 1782. The obverse features a laureate bust of King Charles III facing right, surrounded by the legend CAROLUS III DEI G 1789 GRATIA. The reverse depicts the crowned Spanish royal coat of arms flanked by the Pillars of Hercules with the legend HISPAN ET IND REX Mo 8R IH. The Mo mark identifies the Mexico City mint, and the IH initials correspond to assayers Ignacio de la Iglesia and Juan Jose de la Hoz.
