Sterling Silver Rope Twist Pendant Necklace with Oval Larimar Cabochon - A vintage sterling silver pendant necklace featuring a central oval cabochon gemstone. The gemstone displays a marbled pale blue and white coloration with a brown matrix, consistent with Larimar. The stone is bezel-set within a decorative frame characterized by a rope-twist border. The reverse of the pendant frame bears a vertically oriented impressed mark reading STERLING. The pendant is suspended by a tapered bail from a fine rope-style chain that secures with a spring ring clasp. The reverse of the stone exhibits circular blue inclusions and a more prominent brown matrix. Necklace length: Approximately 18 inches Pendant dimensions: Approximately 1 inch long by 0.75 inches wide. The silver components exhibit significant oxidation and heavy tarnish, most notably on the reverse of the pendant (photo 3) and within the crevices of the rope-twist border (photo 2). There are minor surface scratches to the metal consistent with age. The gemstone shows natural matrix and typical surface-reaching inclusions (photo 2) but remains free of chips or cracks. The chain appears intact with no kinks, and the spring ring clasp is functional (photo 5).
