On the upper curved portion of the ear wires, there are small incised marks; these stamps are present but are not legible as a specific maker name or metal purity in the images (Photo 3, 4). The earrings are housed in a light gray velvet-textured presentation box. The interior lid contains a black adhesive label with white text reading GENUINE AMETHYST (Photo 1). A loose paper price tag from the retailer AMES is present in the box base, bearing the printed text AMES GENUINE AMETHST, 02831279, and $ 39.99, along with a barcode and handwritten characters SIE (Photo 5). Total drop length is approximately 7/8 of an inch (Photo 6). The width across the widest point of the heart drop is approximately 3/8 of an inch (Photo 6). The earrings show signs of light wear, including visible tarnish and darkening on the metal of the ear wires (Photo 2, 3, 4). The stones appear intact. The presentation box exhibits light shelf wear, and the interior adhesive label is beginning to detach from the lid at the left side (Photo 1).
